Our promise is rooted in our unwavering belief that blindness is not a limitation, but a unique perspective that enriches our shared humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our Promise<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We promise to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advocate for <strong>full inclusion<\/strong> of blind and partially sighted persons in education, employment, governance, and community life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that <strong>accessibility<\/strong> in information, communication, infrastructure, and technology, is a right, not a privilege.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote <strong>equal opportunity<\/strong> for every visually impaired person to learn, work, and thrive with dignity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build a strong, united community that speaks with one voice for the advancement of all members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uphold transparency, accountability, and integrity in all our actions and partnerships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our Purpose<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our purpose is to transform the lives of blind and visually impaired Nigerians by removing barriers that hinder participation and progress.<br>We exist to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Empower<\/strong> individuals through education, skills development, and leadership opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Advocate<\/strong> for policies and practices that promote accessibility, inclusion, and human rights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Collaborate<\/strong> with government, private sector, and international partners to build an inclusive society.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Inspire<\/strong> positive societal attitudes toward blindness and disability through awareness and advocacy campaigns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together, we are building a nation where blindness does not define one\u2019s potential, but where every person is seen, heard, and valued for their contribution to Nigeria\u2019s growth and progress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Promise and Purpose At the Nigeria Association of the Blind (NAB), we stand as a beacon of hope and empowerment for all blind and visually impaired persons across Nigeria.
